Cerekiew Sugar Plant has been awarded the Silver Laurel for Skills and Competences in the Corporate Social Responsibility category. The prizes of Opole Chamber of Commerce were presented during a gala ceremony at the Opole Philharmonic.
Laurels for Skills and Competences have been given continuously since 1992. The jury recognises outstanding individuals and institutions that have an impact on the development and promotion of the Opole Province. Cerekiew Sugar Plant is this year’s laureate in the Corporate Social Responsibility category.
Cerekiew Sugar Plant supports a range of organisations active in the local municipality and district. They include e.g. the complex of schools and kindergarten (Zespół Gimnazjalno-Szkolno-Przedszkolny) in Polska Cerekiew, local sports clubs (Ludowy Uczniowski Klub Sportowy Polonia Gościęcin, Klub Sportowy LUKS Pawłowiczki and Ludowy Klub Sportowy Bryksjusz Gościęcin), the Voluntary Fire Brigade in Polska Cerekiew, Volunteer Blood Donors Club of the Polish Red Cross at Cerekiew Sugar Plant and ‘Promyczek’ Community Nursing Home in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Additionally, Cerekiew Sugar Plant sponsors cultural events, such as Jeździeckie Zawody Gwiazd (Stars’ Riding Competition) Art Cup Lewada.

Cerekiew Sugar Plant has also been running the Grant 5000 Program for 3 years now. So far, program beneficiaries have included ‘Victoria’ Interschool Sports Club, ‘Pomocna dłoń’ (Helping Hand) Association for the Development of Children, Youth and the Family in Racibórz and the Association of the Friends of the Inland Navigation School Complex in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Our company sponsors also the children’s play area at the Municipal Centre for Culture and Recreation in Zakrzów.
