To guarantee a stable supply of agricultural raw materials in the area of sustainable crops world food producers initiated the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (SAI) platform. Whereas in the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) specifies unified evaluation and reporting criteria referring to sustainable farm production. Those criteria are secured thanks to the existing EU certification system – REDcert.

Südzucker Polska S.A. supplies biomass from sustainable cultivation in both the food sector and the biofuel industry.

Two systems, REDcert 2 and REDcert EU, which have common requirements, have been put into practice at all Südzucker Polska S.A. sugar plants, while the SURE system for biogas production has been certified at the Strzelin Sugar Plant in 2023.
